Default 3.73 good or bad idea !!!!?????!!!

Well I have a m6 car mods in sig. I would like to go 4.10 but I go to the track a lot and heard that they dont last long some times. ALso I would like to cintinue getting decent gas milage. So I was thinking about throwing a set of 3.73 gear in my 10 bolt, I know that changes are not going to be dramaitc, but Do you think I would benifit much at all?
THanks

The change will be more than you think. All in all I would say that 4.10 and 373 last about the same in a 10 bolt. $10 are bout one gear from where you areat. By that for and given speed you will about one gear up. 373 are half. I put 410s in my car. It was a bit tall. I when with 3.89s. Oh you have to get a 9in for that.

kind of a waste if you go from 3.42 to 3.73. if your gonna do it go for 4.10.

4.10 or 4.11 definitely. The new pull in the upper gears is well worth it.

I picked up 4 tenths and 3 mph from 3.42's to 4.10's in my old 6spd. 7 tenths 4 mph from 2.73's to 3.73's in my a4 with 20 degree cooler air. I'd go with the 4.10's, they are quite fun.

I noticed a dif. going from 3:42's in a 10 bolt to 3:70's in a 9". The car takes off better now which is important because I'm running a 6 puck clutch on the street. At 40 MPH the spedo was reading 43ish so not a big difference in RPM's.

4.10s no question. I took mine to the track alot while only bolt-ons and beat on it with Nittos and it never broke. If your gonna swap gears, go on to the 4.10s.
