Default What a/r exhaust housing should I go with w/twin 70mm's on a 408ci.?

My car is a '01 T/A that weighs in around 3300lbs w/me in it w/a 408ci. motor using twin 70's and TH400 trans and a neil chance converter. I'm wanting to mainly street race w/it as well as track but will be competing in mainly 1/8th mile events, so I need to get out of the hole hard! What a/r housings should I go with. I initially was going to go w/.96 a/r's, but now I'm wondering if I'm doing the right thing after talking to a few high horse guys through pm's on here. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks--Andy

I would start with .81'sand check results and pr's. If you will be racing and not so worried about response the .96's would have more potential for best ET and horsepower.

It all depends on quite a few things. What is your static compression ratio? If you're running higher CR I would run a higher A/R compared to a low CR setup.

+1 especially if you're going to run on 93.

I would see how .81's worked first and if it's choking off then go to the .96 A/R...
