If you were into road racing and were wealthy, you'd pay.

Please people... check my point of view,
I fully understand that we are a younger crowd in the ls1tech community... atleast in the western section we are but the pirces are VERY reasonable for what they provide. While I have nothing close to paying for it let me tell you why it is fair....

i am sure you have heard of country clubs... well they are NOT cheap. We are talking tens of thousands for membership for initiation plus monthly amenity fees that memebers share...

THINK of the this "track" as a country club for cars.. if i were loaded i damn for sure would be investing in this... you have locker rooms, showers, garage space for you, meeting roooms, place to get coaching and i can guaranteee you a restaurant will be added for the memebers to use.

For loaded car enthusiast this would be the BEST way to enjoy thier free time away from the cooporate world. It is like a country club for thier passion and the best part is they can get away frmo the nagging wife thats probably banging the milkman/mailman anyway.

Expensive YES. Overpriced NO.

Everything has a price...a country club for cars.... is a big one..

just my 2 cents.

They don't have garages for use unless your a founding member. That price is still pretty wild, look at where its going to be located, country clubs are never that far out from major cities and such. Some even IN major cities, for convenience. This is not convenient for the people that probably can afford it, that is one hell of a drive, specially towing a car or two.

i didnt find that anywhere... care to show me where? all i saw is they have limited space....

The location is different for everyone... and what is far\ for some people is not far for others... in the vette forum some guy was excited for being ONLY 2 hours away.... where as my father thinks my 20 minute commute to work is far... depends on the person... i know this a subjective view but it is unfair to judge distance from a subjective view..people live all over and it's not a fair objection all around..

Check the vette forum, it was on there somewhere and its on their site too. Anyways I don't think the majority of the people that this is singled out too are very close (under 3 hours) It really seems like its geared more towards older guys with their expensive exotics. I really think they will have to cut the prices or something to stay getting good business, could be wrong though...

COMPLETLY AGREE WITH CALIFORNIA BOY.....any club is expensive golf clubs are more than that in some cases...to us on ls1 tech 20-30$ to race for 3-5 hours on a track is expensive. with these ppl its 24hr,all amenities included. they could go everyday if they felt like it. if you calculate time on the track for us in 5 hr increments at 25$,there being 24 hrs in a day and 365 days in a year that would be approx 125$s a day 365 days in a year that makes $45,625!! now my figures are completly pointless for more reasons than one, i just did it do to the comparison. so would i ever pay that? if i was really rich lol but fact is im not so i would never pay that. so i stand on both sides of the table on this one

Those prices are rediculous. Spring Mountain is much less expensive. I am talking 20 times less expensive for similar benefits. Pahrump in Nevada is also much less expensive to be a member of. To make this worth while, you would have to be a professional race car driver where you are spending 3 plus days a week on the track practicing, but even then that doesn't make sense cuz nobody would be racing on this track.
