Default stupid problems need some help

I put my car in storage. everything was working fine. I disconnected my amp and cap and everything that might have a draw on the Batt. Like a dumbass I left the Bat in the car. I went to go start it and i got nothing. So i jumped it and it started the volt meter was reading that it was charging and everything was dandy until i turned it off and came back the next day. Had to jump it again. this time it ran for a little bit and just died. did that a couple times. Its a brand new battery and the Alt. is charging. CAn it be a bad ground or what is going on with this thing?

how long was the car in storage, did you disconnect the battery from the car? the battery might be shot, they hate sitting around.

It was sitting for like a month. the battery was connected because I thought i was going to move it but i didn't. When i hook up the battery now i heard like i high humming sound and sometimes a clicking noise. maybe i'll just throw a different battery in from a different vehicle and see what happens

hook a multimeter up to it and see how many volts it is reading.

anytime the battery is hooked up there is power running through the car. if your going to let it sit for a while, then disconnect the battery or hook up a 1 amp trickle charger.
