Default First track outing for the Chickn

Went to tnt at Gainesville. I didn't have the 2 step installed yet. Leaving the line with no boost. The car bogged the first 3 runs and I was braking at the 1000'. I don't have a cage or fire jacket so I didn't want to be shut down early. The last run it felt good out the hole ( at least better ) so I held it down.

R/T .436
60' 1.80
1/8 7.27
mph 106
1/4 10.91
mph 138

It's nothing compaired to a lot of you guys, but a personal best, and not bad for the 4 time down the track with the turbo. Needless to say, the track guys told me to step it down or go home. I made that the last pass anyway. I firgured it was good enough for now until I install the 2 step, and get this pig out the hole. The 325's were holding like a champ, not a bit of spin so far. Now I'm ready to install the 6 point roll bar, I don't want a full cage, and turn it up. I need more practice with this setup for sure.

Yeah, I don't expect the greatest time with the M6. I'd be happy in the bottom 10's, maybe high 9's on the race gas tune. It's the curse of the M6 and a heavy *** car.

"It's nothing compaired to a lot of you guys"

Hey, a 10 second car at 138 is badass period. Especially on shakedown runs. Congrats on the runs....more seat time will drop the et bigtime.

once you get some seat time you will be high 9's very low 10's at least..with that trap.
and dont let the auto guys tell ya different..a 6speed can be a pretty decent 10 second car.My goat is 4000+ lbs and its running 10's and thats with less than 130mph traps..so you definatley have the mph...
here is my video of my full dressed street car(6 speed)

I'm going to install the 2 step and a 6 point so I don't get shut down. Working on the launch will be priority. The way it felt, it could of done a 1.6 or 7 with a little more power and practice. Leaving with no boost and waiting for the turbo to spool sucks. The car weighed 3700 with the n2o set up, without me in it. I've removed some and added some, but I would guess it weighs the same or a little more.

concentrate on suspension. if you can get a 1.5 short time you should get your high 9.

what clutch are you running? bring it over to orlando!

I say you nothing to be upset about, for surely on you first outing. When
I get mine together next year I'd be happy with what you did for sure. I too will be grabbing the gears with a M6.

This is the 13-14lb 800hp pump gas tune. Leaving with no boost sucked. I didn't have time to install the 2 step. We decided to go to the track kinda spur of the moment. Once the turbo spooled, it pulled like a ****. I was running down a couple of all out drag cars that left me at the lights. Should do a lot better with some boost out the hole and a few more lbs on top. The suspension was working. The 325's weren't spinning any, so far. I don't know if I'll make it back to the track before they close down for the winter. Kinda sucks, now that I have the itch.
