Default pick up tube

hey whats up guys im putting my motor together after i had my short block built. i have a 98 oil pan, tray, windage tray and pick up tube. i don't know about other years but the 98 has the pick up tube almost at the front face of the oil pan. i will be luanching decently hard i was wondering if i should extend the pickup tube more towards the back of the pan or if there were any other options out there to do with modification of the original equipment. im not really lookig to do a sump system or accumulators yet unless i absolutly have to

I have been using the same stock 98 set-up since day one. No problems - so far

Look inside the pan, it has fins built-in to direct the oil to the pickup.

I still run the stock 98 pan/pickup as well (they are all the same to 02 anyhow). I run an extra qt of oil. If you have the money the moroso pan/pickup is nice.
