Default y-pipe question

when u install a aftermarket y-pipe, does it attach to the cats or do you have to remove them

you can either buy a catted y pipe or usally everyone gets the straight ones, it is also possible to fabricate ur own with cats

if you are getting a new y-pipe and still using your stock manifolds, then the gain is not worth the money.

but yeah you can get a new y with new hi-flo cats in it already, best option if you need to keep them

do you think in will make it any louder i already have a slp resonator dumped

not sure what you're referring to,

removing the cats=louder

switching y-pipes and keeping cats=probably not, nothing truly noticeable anyway

ya you should jus get headers and take off the cats with slp resenator it will have a real nice sound i recomend slp long tubes or pace setter long tubes slp make a little more power but they hang low and they hit the ground alot....

not real sure about SLP making more power, yes they claim more power, but 41rwhp from a header swap is a little high,

I personally think that the best deal out is QTP, i personally have XS, but there is enough info on headers on this site to answer ALL your questions, just hang out in the Gen III external for awhile
