Florida Members - HELP--Camaro Gathering-Need Ideas

A few times a year I have some friends and we get together and go to lunch and for a ride somewhere. It started small and now we have 20 to 25 cars. I would like to do this with a group of Camaros and Firebirds. If anyone is interested let's discuss this.


I enjoy seeing different and fresh approaches to restoring our favorite cars. Our last ride we went up to Cedar Key. There is nothing quite like wide open scenic roads and sharing a day with friends.

Do you mind if a few GTO's and Vettes join in?
Out local group gets together usually on the last Sunday of each month, we didn't this month,
everyone was working. I am trying to put a GTG
for Dec. 16, 22 or 23. We know the owners of the local "Beef-o-Brady's". They are willing to work with us, and have PLENTY of parking on the side of the building.
What is half way between Crystal River and
Fernandina Bch? Maybe we can meet there and
grab some lunch and then go for a cruise. I'm willing
to help work out something. I think it would be really cool to see about 30+ Beautiful GM cars screaming down the highway.

Would be interesting in getting in on this event. Post the details well in advance of the day and I will let the members of Classic Camaro of Central Florida know. We try to do a monthly get together and it usually has 2 main ingredients....food and cars.

Gainesville would be halfway from Fernandina Bch. The make of the car does not matter. I have some friends with Vettes and Vipers that will come. The more cars the better. Dec. 15th is a Saturday. I will throw my hat in and say I can commit for that day and have a few friends that will come.

It also does not have to be Gainesville that is just a suggestion. If there are too many Corvettes I will have to wear this shirt.

December 8th in Sarasota is going to be a wild night. It is the night before the races at Bradenton. We like to enjoy ourselves before we get serious on Sunday. It is a private track rental and if you are interested contact me soon.

I have received a few PM's so the 15th is a go now all we need is a location. Please go ahead and let me know if that day is good.

Being able to hook up with the Classic Camaro Club of central Florida would be great. If that is the case maybe a Kissimmee or Orlando location would also work. Looking forward to putting some miles on my new engine/tranny before gas goes up any more.

I'd be down if it was in Central FL.

E-mail has been sent to the members of CCCF asking for participants. Waiting for responses. I know of at least 3 members wanting in on this. Has a starting point been decided? How about beginning at Homassassa Springs at the Manatee Park and heading south along the coast to a final destination of Siesta Key? Good/Bad idea? Lets help Richie make this a successful gathering.

I will know more info on how many in a few days. I plan on hitting up some
friends this weekend. Richie can you please post up a map or some kind of
driving itenarary(sp). The meeting place, on to the restaraunt and then off
to the cruise, and places for pics.
I really hope that the weather is good enough for the tops to come out.

This sounds like fun. I'll look into making it, Saturday is a off day for me.

Okay, I'm interested as long as my car is up and running at the time. But i need to know the following and than I can assist in whatever way that I can.

Where are we meeting, Gainesville, Kissimmee, Orlando? If it's orlando than i can help with the planning of the event.
