Havok, yours are the LT1 style tails and TransAm619 used the LS1 style tails; so they aren't exactly like that. (just had to beat you up a bit, I know you were refering to the fact that both have clear reverse still )

I've been wanting to try this myself but I only have 1 set of tail lights and dont want to screw them up. Is there any other write up other than the sticky one? For those that have done this before, how hard was it and what did you use to cover the reverse light...thanks

I used Plain old masking (painters tape) to cover the reverse lights. I kinda winged it doing mine but basically i cleaned them up real good with auto prep and just went at it with a few coats of VHT and then a few clear. I didnt even sand them. they came out so shiny i didnt wanna chance messin up with the sand paper. If they werent so shiny i would have sanded tho. My only advice is LIGHT COATS... vht runs very easily...

oh, and yea, the LT1s look great like this but hey, i got an LS1 so im stuck with these and made them as badass as i could.

Good luck

your not really "stuck" with those lights. you can put lt1 style lights. its more of personal choice.
