I am in dire need of a truck. I really want to get a chevy 2500HD but i am open to chevy 1500 and dodge 2500's as well. I really need a diesel because most of the stuff i end up hauling is pretty heavy. Needs to be in good condition and if its a diesel no more than 200k miles. Now on to the chevelle. Before the rebuild the car ran a 7.0 in the 1/8 holding the front wheels off the line.
1968 Chevelle SS:
Engine:
Crate BBC 454 bored .30 over to 461ci
13.1 compression
Brand new internals
Rebuilt less than 100 miles ago
.556 lift hyd. roller cam
New pushrods
New lifters
Longtube headers
Weiand intake manifold
Oil pan is black, block is hugger orange, heads are black, orange Moroso valve covers
New high torque starter
ACCEL HEI distributor
Brand new radiator
New Holley Blue electric fuel pump
Transmission Rear End and Suspension:
Rebuilt TH400 long tailshaft
TCI 3500 stall
Fully built 12 bolt with full spool and 4:10 gear
Upper and Lower rear UMI traction bars and control arms
Brand new front lower control arms and all new front end bushings
New front shocks
2 driveshaft safety loops
Interior and Exterior:
Full roll cage
16 gallon fuel cell
Hurst ProMatic 2 ratchet shifter
Back seats are removed and blocked off from trunk for safety
Original Carpet in perfect condition but i havent laid it totally in and held down
4 inch cowl hood
Needs a little body work (couple rust spots)
Extras included:
Brand new starter that i was going to use then decided to go with another one
2 1/4 pannel skins. drivers side is perfect but passenger side has a little rust
Original SS hood
80% of the original SS chrome moldings
This car is a blast to drive at the track and on the street. It will need a carburetor because someone stole my $900 Holley race 750cfm out of my garage while i was rebuilding the motor. It is very streetable but gas mileage isnt all that great. $20 of 93 octane would last me about a week of driving (atleast 10 miles a day). Im sure there are other things im forgetting but as soon as i remember them i will add them. I am open to offers on trades for any trucks so dont feel shy about asking. I am very reasonable and will not overlook any offer. There has been over $15,000 invested in this car in the motor alone. You get the best of both worlds. Streetability and racing at the track. I am in desperate need of a truck guys. Give my baby a loving home. I hate to see her go but others will come along. Below is the only pic i have at the moment. You can see the only rust damage on the car in front of the rear wheel but since this pic, i have repaired most of it. I will get more when my girlfriend comes over this weekend with her camera and i will post them or send them to you upon request. Please guys. I REALLY NEED A TRUCK!!!!!
