New engine in a 62 Caddy

I saw one at a car show, the "traditional" rodders scoffed at it, but it was really sweet. Lowered with bags, this thing had a 6.0L from an Escalade complete with transmission and even the Escalade rear end with the disc brakes and all. It was very smooth, very quiet and the guy said it would easily outrun the stock powertrain.......AND get better gas mileage. What more could you ask......classic looks, modern power.

That sounds sick. I"ve often tossed the idea of an LSX in a classic caddy around in my head. Even better would be some upgraded suspension and brakes to make the yacht stop and corner. Hotrod black cadillacs outside a funeral...
