True Duals or GMMG??
I have a GMMG catback in my garage and I'm not sure whether I am going to put it on. I first have to get 1 7/8 headers, either kooks or ARH. I have found after doing some searching that the GMMG is raspy with an ORY but I've never heard one in person, other than parked idling and revving. After hearing my buddies firehawk in FL (383 with true duals), I really fell in love with them. I want to know what your guys opinions are on what system you think I should get. Will the true duals make more power? Should I get an X or H? What is the throatiest, yet not obnoxiously droning muffler? And most importantly, which setup, in your opinion, would sound the best? This is the last time I plan on putting an exhaust on the car so I want to do it right and be done with it. The car only gets driven twice a week. The mods are M6, LME 370, Trex/L92heads, 200-250 wet shot, 12bolt (4.10s), 28 tall tire. Thanks for your input.

My dad has GMMG on his SS. Sounds great, but in my opinion if it isn't already on your car I would sell it and do the true duals. Nothing sounds better. I personally like the sound of flowmasters and I have two single chambers I am about to put on my SS. If you don't want drone I would go out the back because if you dump it they will certainly drone. I will be dumping mine, but I only put a tank of gas through the car every month and a half or two.

if you do a true dual setup do an x-pipe...supposedly x pipes make a lil more power then a h-pipe does but h-pipes sound better. Also if you do dumps you will get some drone however i drive my car alot and the drone isn't that bad. For mufflers i have dynomax bullet mufflers but i hear that if you are cammed they become a bit loud and raspy, I will see soon though

True duals with an X pipe over Y pipe setup any day. Yes, you'll make more power, and it will sound better with the right mufflers. I'm a HUGE fan of single chamber flowmasters. I have them and wouldnt EVER change them! My next personal favorite is moroso spiral flows. I have a buddy with those and his car sounds awesome too. Sound clip of my car in SIG.

true duals F.T.W. with an x-pipe, i have this setup with the magnaflow bullets with turn downs, it sounds slightly mild at idle but when you open her up it sounds like a different car. i plan on redoing mine in 3" all the way out the back. im only running 2.5 right now.
not too much rasp, but i heard the guy above with the 1 chambers and those sound badass!!!!
