Do your intake manifold, then have your throttle body ported... I port throttle bodies and one thing i noticed doing my friends ls1's and mine is that you wont get any power from a throttle body with a ls1 manifold... you need an ls6 manifold.

+1

Then step up to a cam or procharger depending on your budget and where you want to go with the car.

the fast 90/90 combo is overkill on a stock setup, its more orientated for HCI or forced induction cars

I wouldnt buy a fast manifold unless I was going to go big cam. You actually have to buy the manifold and the throttle body so its more than just $800.

Not when you have plenty of other options to be throwing money at that give you a better hp/$ ratio. When will it be worth it? Mostly that's an opinion, but seems like when there really isn't anything left to do bolt on wise, and you have a nice head/cam set on the car. Not really worth it unless you're running a huge cam, or heads and cam.

I can't justify the FAST either. WS SIKZ I agree with YOUGUESSIT, LS6 intake (or Typhoon there is not much of a price difference and I heard it flows a little more then the LS6) and then your throttle body.

If it was me and had to do it over again, I would get a 9" before any more serious mods. It's nice to have that peace of mind that the rear end won't go. (Assuming you have the coin for that.) If you're trying to stay around $1000, get an LS6 intake, ported TB and a hood IMO.

strictly power

ls6 intake, ported TB, SSRA

forget the maf, and since you have a system i wouldn't mess with the pulley.

other options are suspension....lca, brackets, torque arm bushing ($15) and SFC

what kind of cam only package can i get, im lookin for something pretty serious that would probably be easyon everything till next winter or summer probably when i do heads and intake manifold and start saving but say i have around a 1k for the car. if im doing cam only i dont want to spend anywhere near that.

is it possible to have a lumpy *** cam with out heads? like whats the biggest i can fit for stock heads? i know im going to have to change push rods, but do i also have to change retainers and springs and how complicated is a cam swap? should i do a ls2 timing chain and gears? and also do the ls6 oil pump?

the car has 89,000 miles so idk if it should be done any suggestions and thanks alot for your posts already they helped

There is no way you can do cam only setup under 1k. You have to remember that you are going to need tuning. Everything needed to do the cam swap will be close to or at 1k so add tuning and you are well over 1k dollars.
