Default decisions decisions

decisions...

so I have a non ls motor, and ambition for a non ls powed 00-02 camaro.

The problem lies within, do I buy a 2000 v6 and gut it? or do I save the motor, get an SS, and spend all that time modding the ls1?

The donor motor is a small block making 650-750 whp when said and done. Either way I do it, the whole rear end is going to be redone. probably 4-link, dunno yet.

so do i cut cost, strap that bitch in a v6 camaro, or do I just get an ss and do some major work with it? its primarily going to be at the track, but every now and then the friday night street machine might make an appearance.

wow, i didn't expect a reply this late, but cool.
I think i may have worded it wrong the first time. I was Not going to gut the SS if I chose that route, it would just be a heavily modded ls1/lsx build and i would sell the other motor I have. OR i save some bucks, get a non SS and drop the motor I already have in it.

Get a v6 Camaro and have some fun! Since you are planning on gutting the car you can find a higher mileage v6 pretty cheap, put your motor in there, change the suspension, and have a blast.
