A buddy of fine called and told me about it but I was in New Orleans having a night on the town with the old lady so I didn't make it and plus I left my car at home so wasn't much time for me.

I was there, along with the usuals. Good turn out. People stayed out for a while afterwards, along with a little bit of hell raising.

Well I just got home from hanging out. After about an hour of driving up and down gause I finally remembered where to look for everyone. It was a good night. My closest friends aren't in to the speed thing so it is always fun hanging with you guys. The ricers didn't want to race my boy bud from a dig so they did a roll and bud still beat him cause they were only going until 120 and the ricer didn't pass him until 130. Then the ls6 rx7 came out and raced him from a roll and murdered him and didn't use spray. IMO the civic was a pos and a waste of money. Boosted or not its a pos. Oh yeah BlueThunder and LilmanGTO I love your cars all we need to do now is get pops and stock stucks on here (sorry bad with names).

Boy boy boy what a night it was. The fog was horrible but after getting run from the gas station by the police a girl ricer beat a guy ricer 3 times in a row to make like one super ricer. Don't even let me get started on the guy driving the firebird and kept hitting the gas like an ass. Oh yeah pops beat the loser ricer with one hand out the window waving to us like miss america. So much shit went on I can't remember it all right now. Well were going to the track wednesday so anyone who wants to go say it now or forever hold your peace.

we are in slidell at the carwash off i-10 on week days and fri and sat nights and then on sunday nights we all go to new orleans east on h-90 at a gas station.

I'll be at the track Wed if the weather is good. Going with a buddy who has a 02 Hawk this will be his first trip with the converter and 150 shot so it should be fun.

nothing to be nervous about dude, we just need to drop the tire pressure and go. heres a tip, being ur on street tires when u go to do a burn out go around the water and back up right b4 the water not in it b4 it, then just salm it to the floor and burn em for just a second, if im running just watch how i do it, that gives u maximum grip on street tires.

MPs are cool as shit, I've been on haynes when they actully pull up and watch, then called more guys to come and watch too. Its happen more then once but the state cops are the real enforcers out of them, the MPs, and NOPD, they don't play........and their cars are fast too,lol.

The place where we were at first the police shut down but we went to a gas station and the owner said we could chill there as long as we don't block the pumps.

I had to get me some cleaning stuff so I can get the burnt rubber off of my fenders after going to the track.

It's funny that you all still race down there. I used to meet up at the Palace Truck Stop about 7-8 years ago, and run on Almonaster and 90 until one time the cops set up road blocks going both ways. They probably wrote 50 tickets that night. I got lucky, the cops stopped writing tickets before it was my time to be next to them. I counted my blessings and never went back there or Haynes. So, when you guys talk about it, it's like de-ja-vous to me.

Yeah Blue Thunder I've been in a few of those road blocks too no where to go. Everyone would circle around a few times like trapped rats lol. then just pull over and get your ticket.

yeah i think i sucks that newer sports cars arent really wanted at these car shows. i know that alot of us put maybe not more money but more time in our cars and i would say that most of us do the work ourselves. i know it aggrevates me when i was at the block party in covington and some guy told me i couldn't park in a certain section because it was for like pre 79 vehicles. so basically if i had my car which i did everything myself on it and it looks good( in my opinion) and a 77 monte carlo that looks bad they would rather the monte carlo. doesnt make sense to me. i know i take pride in my car. like i said i did the mechanic work, body work, paint. i didnt drop it off somewhere and pick it up when it was done. i know im just bitchin, and there are quite a few people that do all the work themselves, but i dont see why we dont have the right to be in car shows or pushed to a back section. maybe im just jealous because i dont have an older car. i dunno what do you guys think?

A few things on this:
1)the detail shop down the street in Covington called "Tropical Shades" or something like that, the owner lets cars like ours park there, really nice guy. "BanditKar" a yellow CETA parks/shows there sometimes...
2) I hear they (city of covington) may be changing this back to allow newer cars, the northshore mustang club has done a lot of work on this effort...
3) the one in Slidell is the same way, but they cannot stop anyone from parking on the side of their show, like by that chinese buffet (old longstar)

FWIW-I dont like it either but a lot of shows are like this, the biggest one I can think of is CTC (crusing the coast) unless you have extensive mods, they will not alllow you in. Some of the bigger shows around the country like good guys have area setup just for our cars but those are the big boys...I also heard the reason covington did it was because after katrina, they had such an influx of people and cars, they could not handle all of them so they made that decision, now I think they are starting to drop off some...who knows.

Never been there but from what I see when I pass its mostly socker moms minivans and suburbans getting a quick wash/wax...Lawless on Freameaux may be better, they do custom paint work so they should know what their doing. I have been meaning to stop there to see.

Well I had planned to work on my car this weekend, I even drove her to work friday but between the suckey looking weather and still having some remants of a cold, about all I got acomplished was to take out my coolant level sensor, which has had my coolant light on, clean it and put it back in, then I drove down Front St before the parade, went out to the exxon by oak harbor, filled her up then back in the garage she went. We then went to PF Changs to eat followed by the LSU store in Kenner. Wow, ya should have seen the people in there! Plenty of Vetts and cars with 20 plus rims out too in Slidell. Didnt see you guys out anywhere, go to the carshow?

They are professionals. They didnt start it nor did the alarm go off. There is supposedly some ring of theives stealling only f-bodys in southeast louisiana and chopping them up. Yep, I agree. It's just a matter of time before they get theirs. Because of all the cars getting stolen, I won't be attending the get together at the Lakefront on the 13th. Now I have to try and locate some of the old receipts I have for some of the mods on the car. We are just waiting on his "insurance check" to show up and clear the bank.

Yeah I love it here. This is my fourth time here this year. I was born in Michigan and love it there too but this is where I really want to be.

Thanks guys. The car and trailer are gone as of today. I teared up as they left. I drove to Gulfport, and picked up a 2007 GSXR 1000 with only 1700 miles on it, and road it home in the rain. This guy sold it to me for only $7500. Needless to say, I didn't haggle. Clean title in hand. $800 + exhaust, frame sliders, and license relocation kit already installed. I'm quite happy, but it's going to take me a while to get used to that kind of power from a bike. 9 sec 1/4 miles ... bone stock. Kind of scary!
