Default Carbon Creations WS-6 Hood

i have a black 01 ws6 and wanted something a little different. i found a ws6 made from carbonfiber and its molded from the oem ws6 hood. so its perfect fit. i would not paint it and it does come clearcoated and has uv protection on it.

what do you guys think?

I wouldn't leave the whole thing unpainted... Be careful with random company's making hoods, most of the time the fit isn't great

I wouldn't do it. And just because it is molded after a oem hod doesn't mean it will fit perfectly.

Since the car is black, I say keep the CF look. If it was white, red, ect. then painted ***.

now that iv been thinking about it i was looking into companies that make custom carbon fiber parts. i was thinking of getting cabon fiber front and rear fenders.

i would be painting them black of course and the hood also.

what does everyone think of this? if it fits well i could get them massed produced and sell them on here as a sponsor. we could deff shead some weight off the rear fenders!

Update us on how it fits. I think Carbon Creations makes some good CF parts for the import croud. If there was a good fitting one I'd buy it. And yes I'd paint it.

As for CF fenders your on your own... thats a lot of money bro but hey knock yourself out.

Rear fenders are part of the frame.

I think CF fenders would be a little much I would rather spend that money elsewhere on my car.

josh, keep the oem ws6 hood on your car! nothing looks better besides the one im getting lol! As far as CF rear fenders thats a bad idea especially if you are pushing all that HP and dont have a cage or SFCs. Once you start doing stuff like that you most likely won't like the results and could end up being an expensive headache. But for the hood if you want it get it, i just think your stock one will look better!

Maybe paint it but mask it off so you have carbon fiber BlackBird stripes?

theres a black ws6 on here somewhere that has this hood and he has the raised part of the hood exposed but the rest unpainted. Looks killer IMO and if i remember the rest of the thread liked it as well. I would only do that on an ls1 if i had a nose peice to complete the drakar look. Is that what those firebirds were called? The ones that paint the raised part of the hood and then draw it to a point on the bumper?

^ ug...you forced me to search. This is the rksport hood but its painted how everyone keeps talking about. I think its awesome! May just drive me over the edge for a 98-02 front end conversion. But i hate to hack into a rare 96 ws6. Maybe ill just sell it. Anyway, heres a few pics i found
