spark plug gap.......?

spark plug gap.......? I got some champion plugs (non platinum = to use with n2o), the stock gap says .060, I put the new ones at .045, will there be a performance difference gaped like this for n/a, and the fact that its not a platinum plug?, also, whats the difference between these and the tr55 or whatever there called?
