Where in NW Indiana? That can mean a lot of places. That looks like quite a project car you have there.

Hi from Crown Point and yes it has been quite a project I started last April and now have completed all of the mechanical and I hope to have the body work done maybe in Feburbary. I am doing the out side and inside, I have painted the underside and motor compartment so far, I can hardley wait to get it to the dyno to see the ***** power and then just wait for the track to open to see what she will do.

Welcome. Living in Austin, TX for last 5 years but also originally from Highland, IN.
Got my education cruising to Blue Top on US 41 (Indianapolis BLVD) and street racing on the Cline Avenue extension or on South Broadway in Gary.

That was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

What car did you cruise and race? Mines in my avatar. Maybe I knew you way back when! I raced on Cline and hung at Blue Top in the late 80's early 90's.

1986-1987. I had my "gutless Cutlass" a 1976 2-dr with a custom Imron black with gold metal flake paint job. It had custom true duals that Midas on Ridge Road did for me. I also had gold anodized American Racing Wheels with "Kelly Supercharger" radials. Was a pretty sharp car for a young kid (me at the time).

Next time I am back home in good weather, I'll try to make it out to the old Blue Top. Prolly won't have a car with me, but I could wear an LS1tech shirt or something.
