Default December 7th, 1941

Please take a minute out of your day to remember all of those who have given their lives for our country, and all of those who will come after us and give their lives for us.

On this day 66 years ago Pearl Harbor was bombed by Japan and the U.S. officially entered WWII, a war that would change the course of history.

My grandfather was part of the 82nd Airborne (All American)...jumped into and fought in Europe (Italy & Germany I believe).

God bless America. We need to do what we did to Japan to these liberal pansies screwing up America...well, not literally, but figuratively speaking, of course.

I called my grandfather today to thank him and catch up. It's been a while since I've talked to him, but when WWII started, he signed up for the Marine Corps and served three tours in the Pacific towards the end of the war. He stormed many beaches and was eventually taken as a POW. He survived the Baton Death March and lived in a POW prison for 18 months before he was finally rescued.

He's old and wrinkly now but he still has many tattoo's from those days. He survived a quadruple bypass surgery about a year ago and has been back into his normal routine for a while. He still cuts the grass and chops firewood for his house.

I wish I lived closer to him so that we could see each other more often. He's a pretty interesting guy for being in his 80's. I'm sure there is a lot I could learn from him.
