Default SLP lid fitment

well everything is groovy except the front lip on the lid is too thick for the two clips to lock. anyone else have this problem if so what did you recommend i do?

well ik someone that had that problem and they just puched kinda hard on the front lip and then the clips went on

If the two clips are not locking you might have it on wrong. Loosen the lid and move it back and forth until you feel it kinda lock in place. Then lock the clips down.

theres really no room to adjust it back and forth. compared to the stock lid is much more sharp and narrow as far as the lip goes. i dont want to risk breaking the clips b/c its my DD and i want the bloody thing to be secure. looks like its time to be creative

now thats fixed with a little help from my winchester what did yall use to get the rubber grommet/intake temp. sensor out of the stock lid?

I got mine about 2 months ago and had no issues with it. Just take it off and try again.

my friend used a set of pliers and just tugged from side to side...but watch out it isn't exactly made out of grade a material if ya catch my drift

Some lids are different, but SLPs lip goes behind the base lip. I know you said you got it, but just in case it helps.

finally got it. man for a simple mod it took me more effort to put that thing on then my exhaust lol. i had to drill about 5 holes in the stock lid to get the air temp sensor out. as for the clips i carved 2 innings on each side and shaved off some plastic in the front but now its a perfect fit
