Thumbs up New SLP Lid...

First off I want to thank MarylandSpeed for a nice delivery, But back to the lid. Everything went pretty fine, until i got to removing the IAT sensor, whoa that was bitch! haha and even worse trying to get it onto the new lid. Then i thought i would be quickly done after that, but trying to slide the MAF into the new lid was tricky, i seriously tried to force it in but after about 20 minutes i knew it wasn't happening. So i remembered that i used the hairdryer to take it off the MAF, so i used it again to put it back on, and i was right, it was back on in a couple minutes. Now the fitment was a little off, as in it wouldn't clamp together right, so i loosened the accordion thing and twisted it until it felt right, and now it fits perfect

The question if i felt any difference? i'd say no, but reason being because i already had whisper lid for a 98-00, and my car is an 01, so that AIR hose was just sticking out. Now I'm good...

Got the same lid and like you removing that sensor was a pain. I was so nervous I was gonna break it. I see you already have the "rubbing on the hood" spot too like most people. Anyways, its time to replace those stock headers now

About the rubbing thing, my hood is a RK Sport SS Replica, and isn't aligned properly. So my guess is if it was aligned right, it wouldn't rub, but I'll get back to you guys when i do align it correctly

a lot of lids rub regardless of how well aligned the hood is so if it still rubs, dont be surprised. but why the SLP and not the new 85mm lid?
