Default Valvefloat Questions..... CamSwap ?'s

Hey fellas...

I just got my STS installed.. .Loving the power..

However, @ about 8psi...@ 4k and above it feels like the engine cant make anymore power...

Is this considered ValveFloat? beacuse I dont have better ValveSprings??

Also, I picked up a set of 918's and 7.4 Hardend PR's.

I figured If I was going to do all of that, I was going to put a cam in as well.

So I had two choices Im stuck Between.....

224-224-588-588-114

224-230-585-595-112

I know that a Lower LSA will cause a loss in boost, but Im not really too concerned about that..!!

Any help is appreciated guys! Thanks so much!

new oil pump, ls2 timing chain, and make sure the 918s are the new ones. you can get the 224/230 on a 114, its what i have.

the old ones had a habit of snapping and dropping a valve. i dont remember the batches so you may want to do a search on it.

Oil pump is not completely necessary. While it is a good idea to change it, I opted not to when I did my cam swap and I have 124,000 miles. No problems, with good oil pressure still.

FI requires a pretty stout spring, 918's (new or old) may not cut the mustard.

Valve flotation? I doubt it. Maybe its your turbo size. Yuh know you could always just crank that turbo up a couple pounds and make ur problems dissapear ha, half joking, but no it is an option
