Default LT1 or LS1

i am really really stuck on which one to get. I am tired of searching and searching for a LS1 that has to be in the lower 70k mile range and has to be around 7k and has to be auto, with no or very mild mods. I no its not really practical but i did find a few in the pass, in which my dad came to the conclusion of no for some odd reason. So the original question is keep searching for a LS1 or get a LT1.

irbs. . . really??? LT1s turn chicas on? The chances for opti problems vice consistent 12 second passes? Yeah.. I see where that makes 'em wet... (for those who are not familiar with sarcasm... that was it!)

I've seen some pretty clean "slow/opti" that are panty droppers. Do you think a girl knows the difference between a 13 sec car or a 12 sec car? or do you think she cares if the car has an opti? LOL no, if it looks/sounds good. thats all that matters IMO.

No they dont know. thats just another reason to get an LT1 if you want a panty dropper, bc for 7k you can get a pretty bad *** lt1 or for 7k you can get a beat up ls1. and no i dont understand your point. you're saying get an ls1 bc its faster and bc it doesnt have an opti? honestly. who cares. I have this H/C TA that I will likely never race, prob pretty damn pointless for me to even have to be honest, I'd be fine with a good looking LT1 car LOL

Donohue . . . You going to change your new T/A LS1 out for an LT1 anytime soon?
Why not????? Because the engine problems associated w/the LT1 (cooling issues/opti & such) have been corrected. Because the airflow for the LS1 through the cathedral runners is much better, because the fuel efficiency is tons better. The LS1 is a better engine. No other arguments available.

GET THE LS1

no im not, bc this ls1 isnt a beater ls1, which is likely what he'd find for 7k. This car looks/sounds good. If it was fast, but looked like ****. I wouldnt have bought it.

If we compare side by side. What "bang for the buck" he can get with 7k, He'd easily get a cleaner/better taken care of lt1 car then he be able to get with 7k on the ls1 side.

I'd take any of my previous lt1 cars over a stock high mileage ls1 car any day(which is what he's going to find for 7k).

LT1. Buy an LT1 for 5k in good shape and if you want it fast just spend the extra 2k and whoop some LS1. Done and done, plus LT1 anything looks nicer than LS1's (except firehawks)
