Default How Hard is it to install the STS kit?

About to pick up an STS kit and i was wondering how hard it is to install it? Seems like a basic bolt on kit. The piping shoudnt be too hard, the only part that seems difficult is the oiling system connection and wiring. Has anybody installed their own sts kit? If so, how long did it take? Any run-ins with problems along the install?

If your are not mechanically inclined...............or well rounded in elec and fabbing. Then find someone who is and offer money or beer or whatever. Have fun doing it and don't get in a hurry. I live in Visalia and my son has installed one before. If you get in trouble let me know!

I installed mine... It was not bad at all....

Couple of things to look for..

1) Make sure your buzzer and oil pump are hooked up correctly, so you dont burn it up...

2) Make sure you have no oil leaks from the fittings..

3) FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS WORD FOR WORD

you will be fine.. Just dont get frustrated, and if you run into a problem with the install, you can always call STS tech support, I had to call them a few times!!

my friends and I took my whole motor out, disassembled every bit of it, and then had a shop put the new parts in it, but then i put the motor back in. And this was from the top using the QTP plate. It didnt seem that difficult. Im sure we can get this sts kit down then.

If you've done this much work it should be easy for you. Just take your time and let us know if you got questions.
