BackFire, Skipping?

Im thinking about buying sean's Fromula(WS-6 Clone) but its skipping when you give it a little bit of gas and it also backfires. What would be causing this problem?

Kind of hard to diagnose without a little more info, i.e. how hard is it backfiring? at what rpm? how much is "a little bit" of gas (enough to accellerate, enough to maintiain speed, etc...
