Default does y pipe slide into existing exaust

i am doing m y first header install with some pacesetters lt and ory. does the y pipe just slide into your existing exauhst or does it need to be welded. This is on a 2001 camaro z28 with flowmasters catback

yep mine slide right in no problems clamped to gether with a 3in band clamp

while you are at it, invest in some prothane engine/tranny mounts, ws6store.com..you will be happy you did

Yea, go to NAPA and get 3 3" band clamps. The horseshoe style muffler clamps it comes with just don't cut it.

Only if something's wrong. I've ridden in cars with solid motor mounts and prothane tranny mounts and it's not much different as far as vibration. I've got prothane tranny and engine mounts and it's hardly any different than stock.

+1 on band clamps. They work/seal much better than the horse shoes.

They did in my 99 Formula, it was pretty bad....The set was from energy suspension, and I have been debating as to whether or not I should try them in the 01 Z28..

I have the energy suspension mount installed and in my case I noticed a (and I stress) little vibration but nothing like what you have said. I did think about whether or not to do since I have seen a few folks out there having describing really bad vibration issues after there install.
