Saturday later in the day could work for me, or anytime Sunday. Why do you say the Sonic on 70th at Pines then say the home depot across the street. Can't we come up with a place that has plenty of parking at business. All the burger places on Pines Rd. have the old wal- mart lot behind them and what a burger north of 220 on north market has a large parking lot with it. I bet ya'll can do better, hell i could get hit by a truck crossing 70th street. Hey by the way think you could stop the rain, LOL's. We don't need no ricer's, buy american, I know it's just me.

I believe they have Cruise Night every third Saturday evening from about 3:00 to whenever at the Sonic in Bossier on Hwy 80 just east of Airline Drive. Suppose to be sunny Sunday so maybe we could make both days.

steve, caddobass did make a good point about the other burger places having parking directly behind them connected to their lots. do we wanna switch to another burger place or are we sticking with sonic? of course at 7pm there is a tire place next to sonic that will be closed and their lot will be empty.

I live off Airline and pass that Sonic every Sat. night. To be honest, it would appear to be a buncha highschoolers. There's a bodykitted Eclipse that's ALWAYS there...and a ton of "young looking" people sitting on tailgates, etc. I see no definitive "car crowd" there. BUT...I think it'd be funny and quite entertaining to have a buncha F-bodies show up and make 'em piss their pants. :jest:

BTW, how many of you guys go race? You know we will have a field trip to RRR, that is the perfect place to go hang out. Some nights we'll have 10-15 F bodies lined up along the fence. Even if you don't race it is always a good time just hanging out there.

You must have been with the wrong crowd at RRR? Everyone in our group is very friendly and helpful to everyone who comes up. We have always been very open with our opinions on here and like ass holes we all have them. An f-body club is a great idea, all of us like our rides ( showing them off, racing them & cruz'in ). Just open your eyes, 7 pm its dark & this weekend the weather is taking a shit on us, don't think there will be much looking and talking in these conditions and there was not alot of notice to make it. Some of us are right in the middle of working on our cars over the winter getting ready for things to come, some of our rear ends & tires don't like a wet road. As I said there are "alot of guys & gals in the Ark La Tex that would love a good Fbody club" and as you said "damn WTF".

I would have loved to come if it werent for 2 things......My car needs a tune because I just put a set of heads on it and I have a corvette, so I may just sit around and look at the wax lol FWIW, not all corvette owners are old and use their cars as waxers. I have a nice mix of go fast and look good parts. I would love to hang out with other LS1 owners but it wont be until after Christmas.

well the first try was a miss, i didn't expect too much considering the weather and its so close to the holidays. i was late due to being on flat but i made it. i saw caddobass pulling out as we were pulling in but he didn't circle around and come back, maybe he didn't want the cherry limeade i was gonna buy him. maybe next sat we can plan a quick meet up and at least do a quick meet and greet if nothing else. if this is gonna happen its gotta start somewhere. btw i did see a Z24 there with a fart can.

well there is a sonic three exits past pines exit in greenwood that is way bigger and has a row of parking with no ordering that we could line up at, also there is truck stop directly beside it thats has lots of free parking. it is right off 20 so we could leave from there to cruise anywhere. i personally enjoy driving on s. lakeshore from hwy 169 and I-220. its runs right near the lake and comes right up against the water and has lots of curves and not too much traffic. just a thought.

It was cold enough to freeze the balls on a brass monkey. Sorry I didn't turn back Steve, but it had been a long day for me and Jeff and I had sat out in the cold for 20 or 25 minutes. May I suggest that if we are going to make the efford to meet during the winter, that we do it someplace where we can go inside if it is cold or raining. The Whataburger on North Market just north of 220 has inside eating and large parking lot. We could meet there, talk it up, cruz down Clyde Fant by the casinos cross the Jimmie Davis bridge come back down Arthur Teague and if everyone would like we could stop at the Boardwalk and hit a restaurant or not. What do ya'll think, is that a plan? Meet just before sunset and have a Red River Sunset Cruz.

Not only South Lakeshore we could go all the way around the lake, 169, South Lakeshore, across 220 bridge, take first exit to North Lakeshore and back to 169. Nice ride.

Saturday for the track runs. From what i understand they are not doing t&t on fridays anymore. I havent looked at the website myself tho. As far as hanging out i am free to do just about anything this whole week. I dont get off work till 8. I am gonna try to get off early to head out to the track sat. I have to check their schedules and figure out if it is worth it, if they close up shop too early i might not be able to get out there early enough

Put a Big "S C C" decal in your back glass in gold with black outline. Tee shirts with big letters "SCC" on the back with LS1 on the left front chest in small letters. Maybe some light baseball jackets with our logo .

I think it would be better to go with a name that would go with a larger area like Ark-La-Tex as many of the guys & gals are from outside of Shreveport & Louisiana. It's not exactly a cruise, it's more of a park your car and let every1 look at your ride. Everybody parks their cars on the right side of Sonic on hwy. 80.

I'm new to this forum thing, but i've been reading up on yalls posts and i would like to be in yalls club. I wish i could go to the meet up at 3 tommorrow but i am leaving tommorrow morning for mississippi for the holidays. Anyways changing the subject i have an 02' SS Camaro i just purchased for $17,000 with 20k orig. miles garage kept by orig. owner, and i have already had a cam put in it and a 3" Magnaflow catback exhaust. My question is that since i put the cam in my car has not been able to hold an idle very long and dies every time i slow down to stop. but it drives fine. So the guys at Kittler's racing whom installed it said this might happen a few days, and if it persist to buy a new pcm or get a tune. I don't know where to get a tune around here, so i ordered a stage 2 pcm from jegs that will be in monday. I'm scared i'm going to mess it up if i keep driving it like this, and I don't know if the pcm will work. If it doesn't what should i do? Help please! Thanks.

cool man. go to racetech in bossier city and they should help u get it tuned. they specialize in lsx's! if they cant help you they will to you who to go to. and yes you prob. will mess it up, get it tuned quick. if you need any more help contact me or taws6m6!

You won't hurt anything by driving it like that. Mine was raced every weekend and driven everyday for 2 years (after the cam was installed) before I finally got it tuned and I never hurt anything. And unlike some guys, I actually drive/use mine the way it was designed to be used. It will just be a PIA to drive until you get it done.

Like I said, you ain't gonna hurt it, it will just be a PIA without tuning. We have 6 LS cars and trucks and 3 of em have bigger cams and they've all lived without tuning for a while.

Yes Kittler's is in Bossier on Barksdale Blv. and the cam is a Lunati Voodoo 212/218, 262/268 duration and 0.531/0.531 lift so it is not much bigger than stock which is why i thought it would be fine without a tune.

Welcome to the site 02SSCamaroKid, damn you have alot of issues. If you can do any of the things yourself do them. Other then that find a good shop and they are going to charge you by the hour. I use Lites Muffler at 1404 N. Market St. phone # 222-3424 for my exhaust work Roger is a good guy and will stand behind his work. When I had my L/T Jet Hot headers installed I did away with the cats. Kittler's did the install, but I had to take it to Lite's to fix their work ( broken hangers, & hitting floor pans ). Hayne's Hot Rod's did my rear, frame connectors, torque arm, LCA's & other stuff, but they are no more. Cainsw & myself play around at the track and he will not steer you wrong on your racing issues.

I've had plenty of (BAD) experience with Kittler's Automotive Machine Shop. A word to the wise , avoid that place at all cost. Incompetent & sloppy work .Should you decide to ignore my advice , then consider yourself forewarned.Many many horror stories have come from way too many unhappy customers at that hole. Be prepared to spend thousands & wait for months and then having to bring your car back several times for them to attempt to fix what else they fucked up . Bad news all the way around !

Yeah, me too. I missed 4th,:bang:. I never miss a gear either. Anyway. Yeah, i would like to do several, mainly from a dig tho. Those gears give me alot of low end. From a 45-50ish roll, i started out in third on that run. Theres always a next time.

12th sounds awesome. I put in to have that day off at work. Hopefully it will get approved. Maybe some more cars can show up next time. Had a blast yesterday. I enjoy hanging out with people who like talking about these cars. And jeff, i will get on the site here in just a little and vote!

Very scenic & curvy with some nice long straights & no cops. Take the Caddo lake exit off I-20 & go north or we could just take the Cross Lake route around the lake then west straight into Jefferson. They have some killer Bar-B-Q there and a nice watering hole with two for one Margarita's.:chug::D

I guess I'll have to be a little bit more clearer from now on. cainsw and myself set up LS1 races at Red River Raceway for the guys & gals that like to test themselves on the 1/4 mile, as we try to keep the racing off of the street & on the track. We have a pretty good turn out of LS1's from around the Ark-La-Tex that show up anywhere from 20 to 50 cars. That is what I was trying to bring to this club, anyway you are welcome to race with us anytime. We have big plans this year ( see other thread ). Have a great new year, Wayne

Yes Coleman had to shut down Haynes Hot Rod and I really miss them he keep my SS running the way I liked and his dad Roger did the same on my bike. Frame work?

heres my new years resolution... cam swap, all the supporting mods, ls6 oil cooler, ls2 timing chain, tci 3500 stall, tranny cooler, LT headers... but all this may not happen,because something is messed up with my car right now. when i put it in reverse it starts shaking really bad, so i hope its not the rear end going.

oh by the way chris (taws6m6) i found out it is when i put it in reverse and then start moving, so i dont think its the tranny.

believe it or not im getting a comp cams cam pkg for under $400. hooker headers for under $300, tranny cooler is just nickel and dime shit, so is everything else. all of it is brand new shit from oreillys.

FWIW my friend gets some of the best deals in the world. he paid 35 buck for a radiator for his toyota 4runner that was $150. so im set for a while. lol

Many of our group came to the races to watch & talk cars not just to race. There are a great number of good people in the Ark-La-Tex that are real car people bring them in with open arms and be open to their idea's. We need a good car club with a purpose. Yep, I broke em where the little pinion bearing is in the back. Those were factory 9" cases though. Now I have a Strange Nodular iron in there with no problems in the last 6 months

damn man you do have some issues, lol just playing! do you just not have the time to do any of this stuff? because to be honest, having people work on your car will cost you an arm and a leg. (most places you go) i strongly recommend that you try to knock alot of your mods out yourself. it will save you big bucks in the long run! also, i already told you i would HELP you install your headers and whatever else mods you have, except any welding, or gears. pm me and ill give you my number and we can knock some of it out!

You can pretty much do these if bolt-in, but I would suggest you go with weld-in and almost any muffler shop will weld them in. Just follow the instructions.

anybody going to rrr this weekend i was the this past weekend but got there late i was working on the car trying to get the tune lined out i want to come back this weekend i try some more, i got down to 12.67 not bad for just headers and some boltons with stock rear six speed, let me know wouldnt mind meeting some of yall

I seen you bust the 12 sec zone. I didn't realize that you didn't have headers. Your car is damn impressive considering the bigtime extra weight (convertible) I've installed and dynoed several sets of LT's and every set has been worth at least 30rwhp or about .25-.30 tenths. The ASP underdrive pulley wasn't worth anything on the dyno or at the track, on my car.

south lakeshore on cross lake is beautiful if the weather is nice. goes right up to the water, lots of curves. its just over too quick. you wanna turn around and go back.

you know me lol i dont give a fuck........im in......i will tell yall a story.....my lil sis wrecked my dads camaro and it was hit in the front pass. wheel. well he brought it over from dallas and i replaced the suspension. it was like a 94 or 95 model and it had t tops. it was manual. when i got the work done (after a few weeks) i went for a drive with the tops off. it was my first time with t tops and it was beautiful out. i drove back and forth for better then an hour, riding and shifting with the tops out enjoying the beautiful morning......great memories.

few cops from what i remember. its been a couple years. best thing i can say is we can try it see what yall think and go from there. i have been down it a million time but i still enjoy it. there is a big park with an old train on display and like a 1940s fire truck, at the VFW or whatever there is a retired army tank right off the road. there is one S curve that is bad, the road actually leans in to it. boats, boat ramps, marinas, nice houses, trees, sections of the road that go over the water.
