Yeah I saw a bit of a Ferrari in it. I would definatley buy me one. Now they just need to put that new 502 crate motor in it or make something even better then the LS1. That would be tough to do butit's GM and they have 3 years to work. I love the old 60s look of it too.

It may have hints of Ferrari, but far more muscular.

The front and back ends clash, the back says Euro sports car, the front says 60s Muscle with a hint of early 70s. To say the least any production version would be toned down. I would have to see it in real life.

GIVE ME THE NAME OF ANY DEALER WITH THAT CAR ON ITS LOT. I will jump in my SS and be there! Obviously those rims would never be a production rim but they would put something sweet on it no doubt. Imagine that car with an SS appearance package...... OMG!!! :eek2:

The automotive industry will get a clue after the flop of the 2005 Mustang. Retro works, but not for long. Look at the T-Bird and the PT-Cruiser.

They sell in the beginning but then the sales trickle down.

GM should build a Camaro with slight hints to its heritage, but make it a more modern car. That is what we need.

If you are looking for a new Camaro that has the looks of a first gen but with all the modern fixins, build yourself a G-Project.

Think of it this way, if the 5-th gen looks very much like a first gen, is the 6th gen going to look like the 2nd gen? Kind of uncreative don't you think?

Take, for example, the 350Z. They brought it back with no hints to earlier models. It is a completely new car, but with the same idea behind it. We need the Camaro to be like that. It should come back as a totally modern new car. Not a remix of the first gen.

We DONT want the Camaro to die again an a few years, remember? We want this car to actually live...

But, hell, I'd buy one too, but wouldn't expect there to be future Camaros.

If GM brings the F-body back... they just need to let it freely compete or get ahead of the Y-body... leave the Y-body as the "refined" version and leave the F-body as the raw, brute power with looks to match... :D

No you are wrong the 2005 Mustang will sell just as well as their current models. The 2005 Mustang looks absolutely incredible. We can just wait till after the '05 Model year and wait to see who is correct.

Well, i dno, that's just my opinion. I'm sure the Mustang lovers will all buy it, as well as the sixteen year old girls, but what after all the hype is gone? I just don't see much they can improve on for the following years. That's both a good thing, and a bad thing. I like to see cars evolve, and I don't see it changing much in the next few years.

I sure as hell think it is a beautiful car and want it to be a success, don't get me wrong, I just think a modern, sportier look would be better.

Again, all my opinion.

If they acually made this I would get one! It seems GM doesnt have a clue on making newer cars but this one is pretty nice. And it doesnt look like GM stole the Modena looks, GM is dumb for the SS that looks just like the RX8. I wonder what the back looks like? I would just make some kind of custom grill to improve the front a lil. And they should make the headlights a little newer looking instead of those, they look like they just took some off a 67 Camaro. I like that older look but needs something more newer with the head lights. Maybe some kind of projector style or change the shape a little?

Bah, just build your own 1st gen with all new, modern parts. It will be cheaper and the value will go UP each year. Thats what I'm doing, not waiting for GM.

Actually I could see GM making something like that... Just to tease us with, and display it at shows, all while knowing they'll never bring it into production. They've done this with thousands of cars, if not hundreds of thousands. DAMN YOU GM!

Oh well, I'd still prefer a 1st generation Camaro like Mark Stielow's or Jonas Wikström's! :hail:

I'd but that, the day that comes out I'm getting the SS or the Z. Just give me a nice V8 in that sucker!!!!

BIg Blocks in production are dead, we all know that, but it would be nice. Asking for a big block in a 21st century car is like asking to bring back the Carb.I think with this car, GM needs to step the covette up to numbers that of the high end Ferreris and Lambos. When the new Vette comes out nextyear than all our questions will be answered to the type of performance the Camaro will produce. They should bring the camaro back as a street and strip deamon from factory! If they do this then the camaro will live again.

Its nice. It could be a lil more areo dynamic in the front. Way to low for a production car. But atleast it has the right sized wheels to fill the fenders. You can link every generation F-body to the previous 1st-2nd, 2nd-3rd, and 3rd-4th but no skipping generations along the way. The tail lights should be the same color and patternt, but just a different shape. And it should be 4 headlights upfront (like the LT1/LS1 cars)

Exactly!

I just attended the Oldsmobile Club of America Nationals in Cincinnati, Ohio last weekend and GM had a few Olds concept vehicles there.
Saw this Alero:
http://home.woh.rr.com/designsofarch/index/olds_site/alero.jpg
I had alway hoped that GM would have brought back something from Olds that would be based on the F-body platform. Put an LS1 engine, 6 speed trans and make it RWD. Put a couple of "W-30" badges on it and the W-25 style OAI hood scoops and put them out on the lots. I think the Alero above would have been darn cool with a LS1/T56/RWD platform.
Then there was this Intrigue:
http://home.woh.rr.com/designsofarch/index/olds_site/intrigue.jpg
And one of my all time favorites. The FE3X concept car from 1985:
http://home.woh.rr.com/designsofarch/index/olds_site/vader.jpg
That car was capable of 1G cornering. It still had the pathetic 307cid engine but they had isntalled a 5 speed manual, Recaro buckets, 5 point safety harnesses, and an adjustable rear spoiler.
They also had a yellow Intrigue at the show with ram air and side exit exhaust. It looked down right mean. :)
What made everything more disappointing is to walk across the street and see a :barf: Pontiac Aztek. How that piece of crap ever got out to the public and the above cars didn't is beyond me. :eyes:

that front end looks like complete and total crap looks way too outdated they need to sleek it out and make it more aerodynamic but the rest of the car seems nice....pics are one thing but id have to see one in real life to judge it!
