Default Air in the oil

I just found out that I have bubbles in my oil from a cam and lifter change. The oil pump was worked on also and it looks like the O-ring didn't seal. It has been like this since last year and it's running hot this summer.
My question is has/will this hurt my engine and could this be the reason my car is running hotter this summer.

Default Re: Air in the oil

We read abut two guys who had no oil pressure recently...apparently, the oil pressure was high and caused the pumps to suck out all the oil from the pan ...the oil did not drain back fast enough...

They BOTH said their oil dip stick showed bubbles in the oil...

Not sure how they resolved the problem...
