New Camaro owner
Well I finally found it, the one iv'e been looking for. I just bought a 2000 Chevy Camaro SS SLP M6 Black on Black, leather, t-tops, the works. The best part is, she only has 7,000 miles. I gotta pick it up from ohio so i'll post some pics in a week or two. It's going to be the longest four months of my life, waiting till New York Weather gets nice.

Well here is the story. It was on ebay and i had been watching it for a few days. I had bid 15k and that actually lasts for a few days. Then somebody bid 16.6k. I called the dealership up just to make sure it wasnt some guy trying to screw me over and talked with him for a good half hour. Said it's been garage kept and barely driven. So on the dealer site the price was 19,990, the buy it now price on ebay was 18,500. So i offered him 17800. He called me back a few mins later with 18000 and i said yes. here is the link to the auction if u wanna see pics. I probably could of gotten it lower but i figure 7,000 miles, mint condition, every single option I want (black/black, leather, M6, SS, t-tops, etc) it was worth the extra money.

I'm in Penfield (rochester). And yes, the weather is crapy now. I actually need peoples advice as far as getting the car to my garage, since i'm obviously not going to drive it now.
1- Drive down there with a rented U-Haul trailer, bring it back on the trailer
2- Ship it to my door for 500 bucks on an open trailer
3- Ship it to my door in an enclosed trailer for around 900
4- Ship it on an open trailer to the nearest DAS station(shipping company) for 300.
The cheapest is probably me going down there, which is probably what i'll do just cause I wanna see the car first. (and i'll "borrow" some dealer plates maybe if the weather is ok down there" It should be a 6 hour drive, which isnt too bad I guess.
let me know what you guys think

One more questions. I would be towing it with a 2002 Envoy SLT. Think that would be ok? i'm not sure what class hitch it has, but I tow the boat around. I just dont wanna lose the car after a few hours. lol that would suck

Hey man be careful transporting that gem the weather sucks here in western NY, right now especially. Congrats on the purchase I have a group of guys I go cruising with in the summer around rochester, lots of people I have been finding around here with beautiful f-bodies. The envoy should be fine too, my buddy and I trailered a 96 Z28 on an open 2 axled car trailer with his 03 sonoma ZR2 and it did just fine, just take it slow.

appears to be a nice, clean car....i got mine with the mileage in my sig, so i know what you mean about getting it with such low mileage....that's always nice, because you know that most likely, it was garaged most of the time and probably not beaten on too much, if at all
if it's going to be a weekend warrior for you, i'd go for the enclosed trailer.
so what are you gonna mod first? i'd recommend tint, a lid/filter, and some shocks personally

All LS1 SS Camaros are SLP.Some were optioned with the Y2Y RPO code (found on the driver's door). This means that they got additional options from SLP installed beyond the normal SS content package.
If your Camaro was optioned with Y2Y code, the list of options can usually be found on an SLP sticker on the passenger door.
For instance mine was originally equipped with the Y2Y options for:
Chrome ZR1 wheels
SS floor mats
SS dash plaque
SLP dual dual catback (which is different from the base SS catback)
SS key fobs
These were in additons to the base SS package.
Good luck with your new baby!

Congrats on the car!
I bought mine from Ohio also in June 2006, it had 2800 miles on the clock. It was also a 2000 SS although mine is a Pewter hardtop with an A4, all SS options and some SLP also. It is just the way I wanted it, looked long and hard for it (8 months). I too paid 18K for mine and drove to get it from St. Louis and towed it back on my flatbed car hauler.
I have sinced dismantled the entire drivetrain and re-assembled it to the way I wanted it to be. Car now has 4000 miles on it and runs 11.80's and is a blast to drive.
Check out the link in my signature to my build up. I posted all my pics along the way!
Good luck with it and have fun.
