someone told me not to put in a 160 stat because it will actually run hotter because it wont ever close when the engine is hot the water wont have time to cool down? the water will just keep circulating. he says people with camaros come to the shop askin him y the car is wigging out? is that true or what?

I have mine modified to open at 170* and my fans programmed to match. It the hot Houston heat my car only gets to 185* with the FTRA installed (it blocks about a 1/3 of the radiator).
