416 w/T 56 into 92 Z-28 I am using a SDPC 416 w/ milled L 92s and a small can for now and Hawk’s 1 3/4”. I have a T-56 w/32,000 miles out of a 2000 Z-28. I posted a question in the manual section requesting help in selecting a clutch but rec’d no replies.
This will be street only (may make a pass or two fun) and more for handling. Right now going with stock 3.42 posi but will probably upgrade with bigger rims and 12 bolt later.
The other question I have is the springs. I have been running stockers w/Bilstein sports, Global West front bushings, Herb Adam sway bars, strut tower brace, Alston sub frame connectors and some other stuff I can’t remember. Any recommendations on springs to keep level with no more than a 1” drop?

For your clutch I would recommend either the spec 3+ or the textrelia. It looks like spec really did their homework with the 3+ so that’s what I’m going to try for my swap (besides the fact that it’s not as expensive as the Textrelia). If ur not going to abuse it too much and want to daily drive it, nothing beats the LS7.
As far as springs go, you can either use the eibach pro kit or sportlines. I think the sportlines will give you s stock looking ride height after the LSx swap. I’m going w/the sportlines which should have my car sitting about 1.5-1.75 inches lower.

The clutch reccomendations above are very good. The Textrelia is a nicer piece than the SPEC and will last longer but costs more.
Big sway bars, with properly valved shocks, good springs, and new rubber bushing NOT poly will make a slot car feel with out the harsh ride for a street car.
Anything taller than the 3.42 gear and it won't last long...

Here is a good clutch kit from SDPC that will last a long time in your use. I had a Spec clutch once and it was terrible for street use. It would have been a good track clutch but was definatly not street friendly.

I have been running that suspension and it is nice. I had previously used the Herb Adams solid bushings on the street and liked them, not really that harsh as it felt like the suspension was able to move easier.
How about the difference between LS 6 and -7 clutch set-ups? This is a street car and not a drag car. I’ll pay more for longevity.

It looks like maybe the LS 7 setup for now. Just need time and figure out the rest as I go. If Chritmas break is quiet I should be able to get most of it done.
