Bad accident in Surprise, AZ
Don't know if it was anyone from the boards, but there was a really bad accident in Surprise this morning (or late lastnight). It was a silver SS with C5's on it. Car was destroyed and there was a fatality, which if you witnessed the car you'd know why. The front was colapsed and the middle/rear of the car was about 3 feet in the air. I could see a SLP loudmouth on it all the way up to the middle of the body that's how bad the car was tweak.
My wife called and told me of the accident, after I passed I called to tell her that's was the same make/model of my car. She couldn't believe it either.
RIP, SS owner and my families thoughts and prayers go out to you and yours.

They weren't chrome c5's just the standard color, I know it had an SLP loudmouth version. I'm not jocking when I say the rear was off the gound, the body was bent in half with the front wheels down and the left rear being 3 plus feet in the air and the right side twisted slightly lower.
It was one of the worst things I've seen, it was kinda scary driving the same car and see what could happen. I'd assume the car hit some stationary or something big that pulled out in front of it. By the looks, I couldn't tell if it was a convertable or if they cut the top off. I know there is an older bald guy that has a silver convertable that I've seen cruising around on Saturday nights, but I think he had chrome rims. Either way it was very sad and creepy at the same time.

Can anyone verify or if you are reading this, Jeff (98CamaroZ28) are you ok? It could have been a Z28 with a hood or something, I know Jeff has a silver Z with Silver C5 wheels (the old style), not sure on his exhaust though.

It wasn't Wes, he has a Firebird with blue markings.
It could have been a Z28, but it had the rear wing or whatever you call it and I couldn't see much else other than that. Just that corner of the leftside and under the rear of the car.
My wife stated it was on the news, two people in the car. One died and the other was transported. No names, they did state the car was traveling at a high rate of speed. Either way we all goof off sometimes and it sucks to see this happen around this time of year.
Scott, I wanted to post this on AZFBA, maybe you can pass this on.

I stopped by the crash site this morning, they had candles, a few unopened beer cans, a few cigarettes, a sharpe/marker with a large piece of laminated paper that friends/family had signed.
The person who has passed was named John, Big John, Spookey or atleast that's the way it was addressed to him. He was loved by friends I can say that by the comments.
RIP John!
The crash site was pretty bad, it appeared the car at some time came into contact with a Red (potentially) Armada by the looks of the piece of rear bumper that was in the ditch. The hood was an SS hood, it was in three large pieces, the mirror ripped off, the whole driveside outer door shell laying in the ditch, the lid, the inner fender lining, plus other black plastic pieces. I sure looked violent with the car pieces and a big hole in the brick wall.
