does race style matter?

does race style matter? Do race style mufflers ussualy make more power then regular headers with the egr and emissions? I did a search but could not find it. Seems like they would because most race style headers are 1 7/8 and the regular headers are 1 3/4 and the bigger the more flow.

not much, most people buy race style headers to rid the car of egr and air. when buying headers cubic inch and head flow decide what size primary's you need.

he wasn't saying you couldn't he just said most ppl run with "race style headers" and 1 7/8 arn't to much for stock cubes, it just doesn't do much more than 1 3/4 on a stock cube
