Default Who else is getting sick of lame "Canadian only! " Adverts?

I am getting sick of hearing " The Deal for Canadians only!!!"
All they have done is changed there old rebates into a "price adjustment"

The prices are STILL outrageous - and I have seen price adjusting from up to $14 000 dollars - but don't mention on WHAT vehicle you get THAT adjustment on - for the most part - you see 1-2k "adjustments" when in reality - they have just re-named previous cash-back incentives as "adjustments"

And toyota makes me laugh the most " Now for Candians only! You can buy a car with 0.9% intrest!"

Ohhhh PLEASE Toyota! Let me pay 10 000 dollars MORE for your car, and lower the intrest on the money you are robbing me of!! "

I guess this is my second rant for the day.

Remember, we have the $$ they need, and unless we hit them in their pocket book, they will continue to take advantage of us.
Simple matter to boycott GM products and strongly advise anyone you here that is in the market for one.

If they do continue, we have no-one to blame but ourselves. We have to end this pacifism many of us are guilty of.

Corvettes are among the most over priced.

For anyone that buys one in Canada, I weep for you.

I think all dealershits in Canada is doing that. Automaxx is the worst place to buy a car from (Automaxx is in Calgary) Half their cars are "Katrina cars" Flooded right to the ****. There is a case going on in Calgary about that.

I just hate reading in the sun..."USA pricing on all our vehicles" They think were stupid or something.

GM dealerships are starting to hear us scream!

Saw an advertisement for a new 2008 C6 Z06 for 79K this weekend on the Star. Can anyone confirm?

LOL

People hear "2500" in price adjustments!

Well - what they have done - is given the previous incentives a new name. Until they drop their prices to EXACTLY what the Americans pay - we should not be happy.

Why take the hit on making the CND price more comparable to the US, when we can dump money into advertisement campaigns trying to convince people they already are similar if not BETTER deals in CND?

What a load of crap ...

Just like what they try and feed us with border wait times, outrageous custom hassles, and overall bureaucratic inconveniences ... its all a huge load to get ppl who are uninformed to continue spending money up here. Oh, and then there are the SOB economy story ... CND manufacturing workers are losing jobs because youre buying clothes in Buffalo! Wait, what ... ? The clothes are made in Turkey or Chile or the US, not Canada. How does that make sense? You know what makes more sense? Companies potentially using this as an excuse to lay ppl off and blame 'market forces such as the weak US dollar' for us going to the states as opposed to their unwillingness to take a hit in the profit margins.

Can't make it happen, I'm looking at the competition and so will everybody else.

What happened to American muscle?

A base Corvette (1SB) here is the same as a 3LT Vette in the US options wise.

A 3LT in the US is $50k new. Wilson Niblett will sell you a new 1SB for $49,995 and store it until the winter is over.

The Canadian Vettes are loaded up compared to the US ones.

Come spring time my dad's heading down to the US and getting a 1LT. No need for all the bells and whistles.

Anyone can log onto GMcanada.com and the American counterpart and simply see that that's not true..

The $14000 off is on the 08 Escalades. We have been looking in the states for a while b/c they are way cheaper but now I cannot bring over an 08 so with the 14k off it is really close to US prices.

Still robbery but what do ya do. I want a new vehicle so I am going to pay it.

The discount is merely a start - the only way tiy can fight it is to NOT pay Canadian prices - and only accept what the vehicle is worth.

and the ban has been lifted if I read correctly.

Here is from the post I was referring to above there..

" Looks like 2008's will be allowed into Canada as long as the vehicle has an electronic immobilizer. I was contacted today by RIV and now have plates for my 2008 Tacoma.

http://www.tc.gc.ca/mediaroom/releas...7/07-h245e.htm

It is official right now but I would wait until the release of the new list on Dec 26th. "
