do not touch the iridiums, they are preset and may be damaged if you touch them. it should be around .040 to .045. do not gap them!!!!!!

ok i copied and pasted this from ngk's website about gapping iradium plugs

The manufacturers say NO.
This is because most people do not know how to properly gap a spark plug, and the center electrodes on the ultra-fine iridium can easily snap if mishandled. There is no warranty for snapped center electrodes. The manufacturers say an iridium spark plug will run so much better than a traditional plug, even if it is not gapped for that motor, that they would prefer you just leave it rather than risk snapping the center electrode.
Personally, we at sparkplugs.com, gap our iridium plugs for our own vehicles (we’re rebels). If you insist on gapping your iridium plug, please refer to Proper Gapping for instruction.

this is from ac delco, it covers the iridium which is why they have a smaller gap. the ac and ngk iridiums are the same.

ACDelco Iridium Spark Plugs are the latest evolution in high-performance plugs. The natural properties of iridium, with a melting point approximately 700 degrees Celsius higher than platinum, helps enable the plug to burn fuel more efficiently and to deliver better performance. As a result, the iridium plugs have a minimum service life of 100,000 miles.*
Since iridium is one of the densest materials found on earth, the iridium-tipped center electrode is 50 percent the size of a platinum electrode and 20 percent the size of a conventional nickel electrode.
The secondary microdischarge of the center electrode burns off carbon deposits as they form for superior antifouling performance that, along with the tapered cut-ground electrode, offers enhanced flame spread during combustion.
The specially designed electrodes increase the electric field strength at the gap, reducing the voltage required for sparking to begin, for improved cold starting and quicker acceleration.
The application coverage of ACDelco Iridium Spark Plugs continues to grow, with the plugs backed by a 100,000-mile limited warranty.
*Service life varies with individual driving conditions.

You can gap them, I have gapped them before...BUT as stated if you put any pressure on the Electrode it will break and you need a new plug. I would just leave them as gapped as they come...no real reason to change it unless you've got a wild setup.
