I think a nice big turbo inlet in the middle would look good

I actually had thoughts of doing that. Just didn't wanna buy a complete bumper cover and not like the outcome after all the work. Kinda looks too plain, like said above. I wanted to get the license plate filler (with the bird) and full in the gap between the license plate over and bumper cover with bondo or something. Think it would look better that way!

Dont you think a bumper like this would be great for those that want a custom look. They can cut whatever shape they want into the bumper. More opinions please.

What about filling in the intake ports between the headlight cutouts to approximate the Heritage TA's clip?

Seen it before with just the bird cover, still looks plain. I personally think that no matter what everyone tries to do to a 4th gen trans am, it will never look better than what they came from the factory with. Thats just my opinion though. Needs fog lights and the bird plate!

I think it's a great idea for those who want to cutout their own air intake shape. The one issue I see is that the guys who can cut out their own shape can also probably fill in the stock holes and then cut their own. So your only saving them one step. The rest of the buyers probably just want something they can bolt on without doing any extra work. So I don't know if it would be worth it to sell a smoothed front end.

Maybe you can take a poll for other unique air intake shapes and find something normally aspirated guys can put on their cars as well. 2 or 3 unique shapes would be cool for you to sell, assuming its worth it for you. I think you might aught to consider something like the Heritage TA front end. Maybe leave it's nose open for the Ram Air hood guys and add a conservative skirt along the bottom instead of it's large add-on skirt. Now that might sell.

I was going to rework your E-1 to make it closer to the Heritage anyway.

I just did this chop for a different thread. The point is, I think if you fill in the nose area, the stock flat hood would look good with it.

I'll do a chop of the smooth E1 on my car in just a minute.

It's not that good a PS job, but OK.

For those that want the nose open.

Smoothed nose for me.

I think it needs more of a lip along the bottom instead of tucking in. It looses some of it's aggressive look without a lip.

Can you take some pics of this front on an actual car? I'd love to play around with some different shaped openings.

Good idea...I feel its a bit plain...I have often thought of just filling in the gap around the License plate cover, so the bird is still there and the fog lights are there...to each is own though it is different and I like that.
