Default LS-1 in full size 82 Blazer

I have a 1982 full size 2 wheel drive Blazer. [i] am getting ready to do an LS-1 swap from a 2002 Camaro SS. I have installed the Z)6 cam , I have the stock computer and I plan to use the 700R4 from the truck since it has already been built when I installed the supercharger on the old tbi motor.

Is there anyone on the forum that has completed a similar swap that can give me some pointers and a list of needed parts etc?

Thanks!

I think you can get all of your kick down brackets for the 700R4 from bowtie over drives. There are some other things as far as getting your flex plate bolted up, it wasn't a concern for me, but I came across it some where.

In order to use the 700 tranny, you have to hook up the TV cable. Bowtie overdrives sells a kit for that, but it won't work with your throttle body side plate. You will have to use the small(98) style. You have to decide what to do about convertor lockup too. B&M makes a good lockup kit that is MPH activated. It's a little more expensive than the others, but worth it.

That sounds like a neat project. About 8 years ago, I built an '82 2wd Blazer with an LT1 and 4l60e. I sure wish I hadn't sold it.

This will be a good one to watch, I am wanting to put the aluminum 5.3 out of my truck in my 82 Blazer. As I hear and learn things I will keep you posted.
