Where to install the oil line restrictors for turbos?

Where to install the oil line restrictors for turbos? Should I install the restrictors right at the turbos or is it okay to install them at the beginning of the lines by the pan? Does it make any difference?
Iam running the HP kit on my C5 where the turbos are located behind the front fenders. Installing the restrictors at the turbos would require fender removal which is a bit time consuming. That's why I would like to know if it would be okay to install them at the oil pan.
