Default American NOOB

my name is patrick and im from overland, missouri, a burb of st louis. i drive an 03 nissan sentra with a vq35de from a 03 nissan maxima.

as you guessed, thats not the reason that im here. i just bought a 88 mazda rx7 with no motor and an ls1 from a 99 camaro ss with 2 bent rods, and a bent valve. it came with the motor, t56, ecu and harness for dirt cheap so i couldnt pass it up.

ive been in the rice game for a while so i know a lot about slow but reading all this **** about how much a head flows and different cam specs is like french to me, so any help would be appreciated. ive been lurking for a while learning up on some setups that i would like for my 7 but im still learning.

heres a couple pics of my sentra which was my pride and joy for a while....im growing up i guess. it dynoed at 230hp 232tq n/a and 325hp 347tq bottled.

here is how i stacked up against some mildly modded ls1 cars when i was NA.

its good to be a part of your forums here. they are very informative. much better than import forums that talk about which cold air intake is better and how tizzight jdm is.

Welcome man. I've been a member of several forums and so far this one is my favorite. All the cam and head lingo will start to make sense after a while. Read the stickies and they will help a lot and will probably keep search ****'s off you back.

welcome aboard! the ls1 into an rx7 is a fairly common swap. there's plenty of info on this site. i also see you are a fan of KSE and a fan of them is ok in my book!
