Default Regular old school whisper lid vs Fast Toys Lid w/ 85mm MAF

Is their really a power difference here? The car is a stock '02 Z28 w/auto, I'm looking to go full bolt-ons and a mild cam. I know Fast Toys has come out with an updated lid designed to be used with a 85mm MAF. Is this really worth anything over the traditional old school lids that have been out for ~ 10 years? On a a previous car ('98 Formy, A4) I ran a whisper lid w/ K&N and Fast Toys Ram Air and my car seemed to MPH fairly well for an A4. Is that still a decent set-up or should I got with FTRA along with the Fast Toys lid & 85mm MAF....Thoughts??

i just got the slp lid because it was cheaper and i like the look better. i dont think there is much of a difference until you get into major mods or larger than stock cubes and mine will be a full bolt on car at best for years since im in college. i think it depends on your plans for the car.

it will help to get the 85mm lid combo but you need to tune it to get the full benefit...not really worth it unless you have the software or going to get the car dyno tuned soon...just stick with the old combo untill you decide to tune...
