Default What stroker to go with?

Just got the ultimate X-Mas gift a ohio forcedinduction turbo kit from my wife and was wondering what stroker to purchase for a 6.0 iron block with some 317 heads. I never really hear anyone purchasing a stoker kit from eagle or callies. Is it cheaper to buy the parts separate? I want a 408 that is able to put out 1000 to the wheels. thanks

got a Callies Kit, cant go wrong, they are very reliable. It is cheaper most of the time to get the kit than purchasing them separately. cant go wrong with one of these kits from a reputable sponsor on this site http://www.ls1speed.com/cont.cfm?cid=C0000184

I would try to use someone that is local to you..or that you can drive to. HKE is in Houston and does good work. We've used him for several motors and they have all been fine. No oil pressure problems!

To give you a list of what my stroker kit came with, and is capable of putting down 1000 to the wheels, here it is:

Callies Forged crank 4"
Callies Compstar 6.125 Connecting rods
Clevite and Federal Mogul rod bearings
Plasma moly ring set
Mahle forged Pistons 32cc

Here is also another good kit from Wheel to Wheel, another very good known sponsor on this site. This kit claims to be able to hold 1500hp

I would give one of those sponsors or Bob at EPP a call, tell him your goals and he can tell you exactly what would be best for your application.

We use Callies Compstar, Callies Dragonslayer and Callies Racemaster crankshafts on our builds, have not had problems with any of them. We use Callies Compstar connectings rods on most of our builds and never have had a problem with them either. For pistons we usually go with Diamond, for rings we use Total Seal. Bob

weight doesn't really matter when your under BOOST its all about strength and the eagle **** is plenty strong when you talk to everyone that uses it.
