Default What tires for 15X3.5 skinnies?

What tires are you guys with skinnies running on the street? I have been using the MT 8 ply tires that are supposedly for heavy cars, but they are trash after 3k miles. I was just wondering what everyone else is running and about what mileage you are getting out of them?

Sorry, no help here. I'm using what you are. But then again, I only average 5-600 miles a year.

That's weird, maybe it's an alignment issue? I've heard they last a long time, like 8K+ miles on them

I'm using 185-65-15 el cheapo Kumho's on mine. Drives fine, but I haven't had them on long so I have no idea as to how long they'll last.

I have ran the MT Sportsmans without an issue. You have to be careful with the cheap metric radials alot of people run though since often times they are designed for use on some small economy car (i.e. light weight and low speed).

A good radial option would be the BFG Radial TA's in a 155-80 or the S/R Radials from MT.

I believe most will see a few seasons from them. Check alignment and/or tire pressures.

What kind of pressure do you reccomend for street driving? I know on our drag car we run the pressures way up, but for street driving I have noticed that they get really hot after a good drive and i didnt want to run too much pressure.
