Default How much pressure do I need to swap valve springs?

How much air pressure am I going to need for a compressor to keep the valves up while I swap valve springs with the heads still on the car? Thanks in advance.

Dunno, I've used 50-60psi before and it worked fine. I have no idea what the minimum amount of pressure it takes though, probably depends how stuck your retainer/locks are to the valve. Sometimes it takes a little bit of tapping on the retainer to get them free.

I give the top of the retainers a rap before I even put the spring compressor on.. Helps to knock them free a bit easier.

If you're worried about that, why don't you just use the TDC method? Then you don't need air presure at all.
