LS1 TEch is best with admins and what not
So recently I have been on everywhere....
And have come to the full determination/conclusion that there is not much for forums out there. Well there is some,
but WOW on the people who run them, and what not.....
This is the best forums I have been around in a long time...
Just thought I would drop a line to let the LS1 tech guys know
THANKS for having us all.....
I have gotten banned for just owning a camaro. LOL.. and the admin owned a mustang.. Not mentioning the site.... LOL... OMFG is all I had to say...
but yeah... Good job ls1 admins for keeping up a good forum board.

Most of these forums come down to money from sponsors.. I think the LS1Tech guys did it early and did it right, established a good sponsor base, good event coverage/planning, and were able to keep the flow of reasonable people coming to the site. This is why they are able to loosely govern these forums and let just about anything fly.

We let quite a bit slide here, except for physical threats of violence or racial type stuff. Most of the people we ban are simply non-sponsoring solicitors who backdoor sell here, as well as trolls that like to harass other members or sponsors. If everyone could play nice with others, they probably wouldn't get banned here.

of course there may be reasons for these lockings that are not clear to most people.

I'm a mod on a boating site here in Tx, we try to keep things from getting out of hand. Everybody knows the rules but you still always have a couple that like to try and push your buttons.

I like the fact that you guys dont have to approve each post. LOL>.
There is a certain site that I had been trying to post on, and none of my posts would show up, then I get an email from the admin saying they dont like my signature.
So they did not allow the posts... LOL..
My signature??? I didnt think I even had one set up since I just got signed up for the site...

I pretty much agree. Some threads are doomed from the beginning, and they know that when they start them. Plus now and then the internet tough-guys start talking out of their asses, but it's alot better here than on some sites I go to.
