Default making 35th clones, need some help/ideas

what i have doen so far looks real good, but im stuck at this point. Ive tried several applications a few different chemicals, and i cant seem to get these last little bits. is there anything i can do to get this off safely? Worst case scenario i have the supplies to smooth and polish the metal, but id prefer the machined look.

I would suggest masking them and only stripping the surface of the wheel. otherwise you will need to prime the wheel enough to fill the casting on the inside of the spokes.

Did you try steel wool? I used that on mine and then took the wheels to get the lips and spokes professionally polished as well as fixing any minor curb rash and scrapes. I sold them and I think the guy that bought them is going to do them like the 35th style wheels. Good luck.

What chemicals have you used so far? What is the temperature of the area where you are stripping them? The chemical strippers work better when the surface and room temp are warm.

I think I used Aircraft stripper on mine.

"tuff-strip" spray
"tuff-strip" brush-on
"Zep Strip" spray

where can i buy aircraft stripper? I also used them in heated garage. Not far from a greenhouse propane heater to be specific.

You can get Aircraft stripper from Home Depot, Auto Zone, etc. Get the brush on type, the spray on type doesn't work as well and the over spray literally burns! Be careful of fumes building up w/ your propane heater nearby...
