Default Alarm problem on my Frontier

Here's the problem...
My 02 Nissan Frontier has the factory keyless entry/alarm. The keyfob broke off the keychain last weekend so I've been carrying it around in my pocket. Today it got washed and does not work anymore. Alarm is armed.

Question, If I open the door with the key and try and start it will it override the alarm?

I have no replacement

Try it? I know some cars will stay armed, but some wont. My buddy has an 03 GT and he lost his key fob. If he opens his door and presses the lock button on the door panel it'll shut off.

If you're lucky, it'll dry out and work.

Or, just open the truck, let the alarm go off and disengage it until you get the alarm/keyfob situation figured out.

I disassembled it and took a hair dryer to it.
It worked and now all is well

Thanks for the suggestions!
