Shifter location might be an issue.
I had a Getraq tranny in my old 92 Chevy truck. Talk about a POS. Im sure there are diffrent models but that one left a very bad taste in my mouth

Getrag like other transmission companies build a whole lot of different units . The units are usually designed and built to the car builders request .

The Supra/Getrag unit is defo very strong.

But why on earth would you want to use it in place of the T56, which bolts straight in ?

The Supra box has an integral bellhousing, so it would be a HUGE job to swap it.
