Default Shift Boot for 99 t56 6-speed

I went to a short stick and broke the black tabs off of my shift boot, looking for a black shift boot, let me know what ya got.

does it still lock in place, and not come out when shifting? is it black?

pm farmer2, he makes a kickass trim piece that replaces the GM plastic part that breaks. His is metal, and custom made for every car, it fits into your existing boot, and will never break. He charges about 18.00 but it lasts, and is way cheaper than buying the GM part over and over.
