Default This ever happen to anybody.

I was pulling my LT1 T56 trans yesterday, for my upcoming 383 engine transplant. I have pulled it before, but forgot to pull the fork off of the throwout bearing before trying to remove.
I sat there trying to pull it until i realized that the fork was on the throwout bearing. After trying to push the trans back in, I realized that it was not in line anymore (the main shaft with the rest of the clutch and flywheel). At this point I was stuck where I couldn't pull the trans nor pull it.

The fork at this point would not pull back unless you have it almost parallel with the trans housing, so that was not going to happen either.

Luckily I had enough space to reach in and undo the bolt that held the fork on to the trans. (this is the same bolt that had snapped in the past BTW) I would have been up a creek if I had not been able to do this.

So out of curiosity has anybody had to do this also?

I had a similar problem with my truck but there is way more room to see the mistake and take care of it. Its just a real good thing that you saw it in time..
